A Suffolk man was arrested Wednesday morning after police executed a search warrant, according to a city press release.

James Ryan “Jim” Wood, 48, of the 700 block of Manning Bridge Road, was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, city spokeswoman Diana Klink stated in the press release.

The arrest followed an investigation and search warrant, she said.

“The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and the probability of additional charges are forthcoming,” Klink wrote.

Wood is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
