Police investigate home invasion

Police are investigating a report of a home invasion robbery that was reported on Tuesday.
The victim reported that the incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of Cherry Blossom Drive, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink. According to the report, three males entered the home and displayed weapons, then searched the home and fled with a safe and the victim’s wallet and cellphone. There were no injuries, Klink said.
The subjects were described as a white male wearing DC shoes with red and black accents and a white Polo brand pullover; a tall black male wearing tan boots, jeans and a gray hoodie with a shirt underneath with a washed-out logo; and a short black male with a gray hoodie on with matching gray sweat pants and a leather jacket.
The investigation remains ongoing.
