Suzanne Sargent is the manager at Sluggers Batting Cages and Pro Shop, 813 W. Constance Road.
Q: Why is going to the batting cages a fun leisure activity?
A: The whole family can come. It’s a fun activity for all ages. With this economy, it’s inexpensive entertainment.
Q: What do you do during your leisure time?
A: I go to ball games and watch my kids play. If I’m not at a batting cage, I’m at a ball field.
Q: Where do your kids play?
A: I have two boys, ages 10 and 13. The older one plays for King’s Fork and Suffolk Youth Athletic Association, and the younger one plays for Suffolk Youth Athletic Association and Suffolk Sluggers travel team.
Q: What is your favorite professional baseball team?
A: The (Boston) Red Sox.
Q: Why are the Red Sox your favorite team?
A: Because I don’t want to be a Yankees fan.
Q: Do you have a favorite professional player?
A: Kevin Youkilis.
Q: Why do you enjoy working here?
A: The people that come in and hang out with me, the interaction with people. All the baseball and softball parents come in.
