Suffolk resident Anders Gustafson has opened a new Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers location at 1003 University Blvd.

After working as Express Oil Change’s director of analytics for six years, Gustafson decided to open his own Suffolk location.

“Express Oil Change’s core values include integrity and trust, two principles that are not always easy to find in automotive repair,” Gustafson said in a press release.

“They shared my goal of delivering superiority to the customer by offering an automotive experience that is altogether different from the norm.”

Gustafson and his fiancée moved back to the Hampton Roads area to be closer to their families, who had members, both active and retired, in the armed forces.

The new location will also provide extra convenience for customers who need vehicle maintenance, Gustafson said.

“I want to deliver peace of mind to our customers that their cars have been well maintained and that we have valued their time and business,” he added.

Express Oil Change, a Birmingham-based fast-lube and full-service automotive chain and franchisor, is able to deliver a true 10-minute drive-through oil change, because the customer remains in the car while trained technicians perform the 20-point vehicle inspection. Every location also features a full mechanical department and state-of-the-art equipment.

Gustafson hopes to expand his Express Oil Change presence in the Hampton Roads area in the future.
