Mary Francis Warren

Mary Francis Warren, 76, of Locust Street, transitioned Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at her residence. She is the daughter of the late Bessie L. Adams and Charlie L. Nicholson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Warren, and sister. Lillian Bailey.
Mrs. Warren attended East Suffolk School and retired from Gwaltney after 32 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Diamond Grove Baptist Church, where she was on the Trustee Board, Usher Board, Pastor’s Aide Committee, Hospitality Committee and Missionary Board. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Gloria Warren and Sandra Warren, both of Suffolk; two sons, Jerry Warren, of Richmond, and James D. Warren, of Carol, OK; brother, James Edward Wilson; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Diamond Grove Baptist Church, 6890 Crittenden Road. The Rev. Dr. Calvin Lillard will deliver the eulogy. She will be laid to rest in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
