Richard Joel “Big Daddy” Forehand, 90, of Suffolk, died Dec. 5, 2015. He was born in Gates County, NC to the late Elijah and Junia Forehand.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Whaleyville United Methodist Church, 6312 Whaleyville Blvd. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive.
