Grassfield High School’s football team has had a successful run in Suffolk this year, spoiling King’s Fork High School’s homecoming last week and then doing the same to Lakeland High School on Friday night.

The Cavaliers showed promise at times during the game, but the Grizzlies were able to pull away for a 42-23 victory.

Despite the loss, Lakeland put up some impressive offensive numbers. Junior running back Damontra Milteer had 18 carries for 114 yards to go with two catches for 25 yards.
