The Suffolk Youth Athletic Association will be holding a grand opening on Saturday morning for the new building in its soccer and field hockey complex on 432 Kings Fork Road.

City councilmen will be on hand as well as some SYAA founders and parents among many others, but the organization’s treasurer, Geoff Payne, is extending an invitation to anyone else who has contributed to making SYAA what it is today.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a time to reminisce and glance through photos from SYAA’s 34-year history. There will be speeches starting at 9 a.m. and concluding by about 9:30 a.m.
