Robbery investigated

Suffolk police are investigating an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver Thursday night.
A Papa John’s driver told police he was trying to make a delivery in the 1000 block of Blythewood Lane in the East Suffolk Gardens neighborhood about 11:25 p.m., according to a city press release. An unknown black male came from behind the residence and robbed him at gunpoint, he told police.
The subject fled on foot after receiving an undetermined amount of currency, according to the release. The victim was not injured.
