George Wesley Litaker, 89, died Sept. 26, 2015. A native of Concord, N.C., he was a brickmason and worked for Rountree Construction Co. George was an avid gardener and Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn T. Litaker; daughter, Diane L. Rountree and husband, Ronnie; sister, Maxine L. Hodgens, of Snellville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Rhonda Rowe and husband, Gary, Renee Rhoads and husband, Wayne, Karen Lawson and husband, David, and James W. Rountree and wife, Tracy; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 3:30 p.m. in Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel by Pastor David Lawson.
