Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nichols of Suffolk announce the marriage of their oldest daughter, Alexzandera Nicole Nichols, to Wyatt Dixon.

They were married on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at 1 p.m. on the lawn of Southampton County Courthouse in Courtland, by the Nottoway River.

She is a granddaughter of Barbara and Mike Thorne of Suffolk, and the late Midge Nichols and Tom Nichols, of Suffolk, and Sharon Mealhouse of Suffolk.

She is employed by BayCabinets in Suffolk.

The groom is the son of Samantha VanHorn and William VanHorn. He is the grandson of Norman and the late Thelma Hults and the late Patricia and David VanHorn.

He is employed by the Virginia Department of Corrections.
