Evelyn Virginia Holland, 67, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015. Born on Sept. 18, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Nannie McClenney and Ivan D. Heath.

Mrs. Holland is survived by her husband, Willard S. Holland III; daughters, Tammy H. Hodge and Kelly Brown-Chaney and husband, David; grandchildren, Samuel, Joshua and Emily; 1 great-grandchild, Dalton; sisters, Louise Brinkley and husband, Floyd, and Linda Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

She loved to play music, loved cats, and had a love of reading. She was formerly a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.

The memorial service will be conducted on Friday Aug. 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Micah Voight in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be registered online at www.RWBakerFH.com.
