Sean Dougherty, a former Nansemond-Suffolk Academy student and Suffolk resident, competed in the first two rounds of the ongoing PGA Championship in Kohler, Wis.

He shot a seven-over-par 79 in round one on Aug. 13 and a nine-over 81 on Aug. 14, causing him to miss the cut.
