Lester Elliott, 89, passed away peacefully Aug. 12, 2015, at Carrington Place of Chesapeake. A lifelong resident of Suffolk, he was born July 15, 1926, in Nansemond County in the same home that he lived in for 82 years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Delsie Greene Elliott. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Sheila M. Brown, son-in-law, Tyrone L. Brown, and grandson, Ridge Brown, of Suffolk; sisters, Pearline Whitney and Audrey Crowder, of East Orange, N.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members. Lester was a faithful member of Union Bethel Baptist Church his entire adult life.

A home going service will be held Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Crocker Funeral Home chapel, 900 E. Washington St., Suffolk. The family and friends will assemble at 10:45 a.m. and the Rev.
