Frances Warren-Gray

Frances Warren-Gray, 81, of 408 Lance Court in Chesapeake, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the daughter of the late James H. Warren and Josephine Wellons Warren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Gray, and son, Antione Gray.
Mrs. Gray retired from Smithfield Packing and Western Tidewater Mental Health Center. She was a member of Missouri Baptist Church, where she served on several auxiliaries such as the Pastor’s Aide Committee, missionaries and the choir.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Wallace Gray Jr.; sons, Wallace “Buttercup” Gray, of Jersey City, N.J., and Larry Gray, of Suffolk; sister, Mary Lou Berry (Clyde), of Suffolk; brother, James Warren (Cynthia), of Smithfield; grandchildren, Chanda Gray, Marcus Bland, Melva Bland, Darrell Parker Sr., Elder Patrick Reid, Brittany Lawton and Antoine Gray; great-grandchildren, Rodney Bell Jr., Dominique Bell, Mason Parker, Alexis Reid, Darrell Parker Jr., Miracle Reid, Miraya Reid, and Olivia Parker; great-great-grandchild, Kamarri Bell; and in-laws, Margaret Gray and Charles Gray.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Missouri Baptist Church, 2020 Lake Cahoon Road, Suffolk, VA 23434. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc. Condolences to the Gray family may be extended to www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
