A mother and son were arrested Saturday on charges of petit larceny.

The warrants stemmed from an incident on June 8 at the Goodwill Industries location in the 6500 block of Hampton Roads Parkway, according to Suffolk spokesman Tim Kelley.

An officer noticed a vehicle near the building and approached the vehicle, Kelley said. Inside, he found Ryan Carbonell Felipe, 21, and Jocelyn Izon Carbonell, 46, both of Portsmouth.

They reportedly had taken an item or items from the receiving door area of the store, Kelley said.
