Sanford W. Worsham, age 71, of Charlotte Court House, passed from this life on June 14, 2015.

Mr. Worsham was retired from the U.S. Navy as a commissaryman of the Vietnam War era. He was a resident of Charlotte County for more than 20 years and previously resided in Suffolk. He was employed prior to retirement with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a retired driver with UPS.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Freda; his sons, Devron, of Colorado, Justin (Cassie), of South Boston; his daughters, Dagny Meadows (Parker), of Richmond, Monica Barnes (Michael), of Suffolk, and Shawna Taylor (Jim), of Drewryville; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Herman, of Richmond, Duncan, of Asheville; sisters, Barbara Jean Toone, of Clarkesville, and Sylvia Traylor, of Richmond.  He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Eileen Worsham, and brother, William.

Funeral services will be held June 17, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St., Amelia, with interment following in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
