Suffolk police are seeking the public’s assistance locating a vehicle that was stolen early on the morning of June 8.
The blue 2014 Honda CR-V was taken from a residence in the Kingsboro neighborhood near downtown Suffolk at about 12:33 a.m. The offender ransacked two other vehicles, left unlocked, that belong to the victims before finding the key in the Honda.
The victims live in the 300 block of Katherine Street.
The Honda has personalized Virginia commemorative “Don’t Tread On Me” plates TPY JMB. It has a blue “Meals on Wheels” sticker on the gas tank cover, a “AAA member” bumper sticker, and an “AMAC” sticker in the rear window.
The victims’ video surveillance showed that a male of unknown race, about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, stole the vehicle. He has a slender build, approximately 150 to 170 pounds, and wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and bandanna covering his face.
The vehicle was recorded passing through an Elizabeth River Crossings toll at 12:56 a.m., just 23 minutes after it was taken.
