A Carrollton man died in a crash in Isle of Wight County Thursday night.

Frank Landon Turner, 50, of the 15000 block of New Towne Haven Lane, died when his 2004 Chevrolet Impala struck a tree after running off the road northbound on Route 711, according to State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya.

Anaya said alcohol was a factor in the crash, and Turner was not wearing a safety belt.
