Chowan inducts Suffolk students to honor societies

The Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society inducted 11 new members into its national organization at Chowan University during a ceremony in Vaughan Auditorium on April 28.
Calvin Bowe, a sophomore criminal justice law enforcement major, and Jennifer Humphrey, a senior pre-law history major, both of Suffolk, were among the inductees.
Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of criminal justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students.
The Pi Gamma Mu honor society for the social sciences also inducted new members in Vaughan Auditorium on April 28. Sandra Lopez, a senior natural science interdisciplinary studies major, was among the 24 inductees.
Pi Gamma Mu is the oldest honor society in the social sciences.
