The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball team had a big hit in the top of the seventh inning to take a late lead on Tuesday, but host Walsingham Academy answered with a big hit of its own in the bottom of the inning to claim a 7-6 conference win.
The Saints trailed 5-3 going into the final inning before junior Sam Neal hit a two-run home run to give his team a 6-5 lead. The Trojans’ own two-run homer ended the game.
NSA has lost four one-run games this season after leading in the seventh inning.
Nansemond-Suffolk (6-8, 4-4) visits Greenbrier Christian Academy this evening.
