Tickets go on sale next week for the 31st annual Suffolk Leadership Prayer Breakfast.
Held each year and coinciding with the National Day of Prayer, the event is a sellout each year, according to a press release announcing the event.
It begins at 7 a.m. May 7 at the Suffolk National Guard Armory.
The speaker and music for the event are usually not announced ahead but are always much anticipated.
Speakers in past years have included Virginia governors, lieutenant governors and attorneys general, movie stars and film producers, military heroes, professional athletes and more.
Musicians have included former Miss Virginias and Miss Americas, Steve Green, Steve Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers and others.
“The 2015 audience is sure not to be disappointed with this year’s selection,” the press release stated.
Those involved in planning the prayer breakfast typically do not speak about it, in an effort to keep the focus on God.
Tickets go on sale April 7 and will be available at the Suffolk Visitor Center, 524 N. Main St. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $20 each. Businesses can purchase tables of eight for customers or employees. Those hoping to attend are encouraged to buy their tickets early to ensure availability.
