Senior Services to hold Medicare info events

Senior Services’ Medicare benefits counselors will hold information and assistance events in locations at several Suffolk locations in April 2015 to assist Medicare-eligible individuals in navigating Medicare and Medicare Part D.
Assistance will also be available for those who are currently enrolled and may be eligible for the Part D Low-Income Subsidy “Extra Help” benefit.
These sessions are free and open to the public. Appointments are not required unless specified. Those wishing to make an appointment or for more information should call Bonnie Dozier at 449-8706 or Angela Hamblett at 328-4217.
The MedCare Access Medicare benefits counseling program, administered by Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, serves residents of Franklin, Isle of Wight County, Southampton County and Suffolk. It is funded by a grant from the Obici Healthcare Foundation.
Dates and locations are as follows:
- Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, 1226 White Marsh Plaza, Suite 210 — April 1, 3, 8, 9, 13, 17, 22, 23, 27 and 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Carrollton Public Library, 14362 New Towne Haven Lane, Carrollton — April 14 from 1 to 3 p.m.
- Windsor Library, 18 Duke St., Windsor — April 28 from 10 a.m. to noon
- North Suffolk Library, 2000 Bennetts Creek Park Road — April 30 from 1 to 3 p.m.
