Agnew, Cooper wed

Tracy Agnew and Troy Cooper were married Feb. 28, 2015, at Grand Affairs in Virginia Beach.
Agnew is the daughter of Patricia and the late James Agnew, of Newport News. Her paternal grandparents are Mary and the late Wilkins Agnew, and her maternal grandparents are Pat and the late Roy Anderson.
A graduate of James River Christian Academy, Longwood University and Old Dominion University, Agnew has been employed at the Suffolk News-Herald since 2006.
Cooper is the son of Lloyd Cooper, of Fort Washington, Md., and the late Hannah Cooper, of Murfreesboro, N.C. His paternal grandparents are Robert and Julia Cooper, and his maternal grandparents are Scarborough and Essie Picot.
Cooper is a graduate of Franklin High School and Chowan University. He was formerly employed as a graphic designer and columnist with the Suffolk News-Herald, where the couple met, from 2007 to 2012. He now is employed as a graphic designer with Huntington Ingalls Industries.
Their wedding ceremony was officiated by Pastor John Thompson, a friend of the bride’s family.
The bride was escorted by her maternal uncle, Roy “Eddie” Anderson. On her bouquet, she carried small picture frames with photos of her and her dad.
April Caruso, cousin and best friend of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Francesca Cooper, sister of the groom, and Samantha Cooper, niece of the groom.
The honorary best man was the late Anthony Cooper, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Lloyd Cooper, father of the groom; Lamont Riddick, cousin of the groom; and LaMar Smith, friend of the groom.
Cole Caruso, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. Destiny Copeland, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Res and Annette Spears, friends of the bride and groom, sang “When God Made You.”
Micah Matthias, friend of the bride, recited Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s “How Do I Love Thee?”
Autumn and Talia Anderson, cousins of the bride, attended the guestbook, handed out programs and pulled the aisle runner.
A reception with lunch and dancing followed the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Richmond.
