Nancy Ethel Williams

Heaven has another angel. Nancy Ethel Williams, 99, left this earth peacefully on Feb. 28, 2015.
She was full of life, love and happiness. In her nearly century of life, she enjoyed knitting, smocking, sewing, cooking, making “Nancy’s Fancy” subs at Maria’s Pizza, gardening, traveling worldwide, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Nancy bravely sailed from her native New Zealand with her infant son as a World War II bride. She proudly became a U.S. citizen. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunt.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Billy Lackey. She is survived by her son, Gary Williams; daughters Carolyn Lackey (Mike) and Pam Hope; grandsons, Kevin Lackey (Katie), Jonathan Lackey (Kelly); and niece, Patsy Coghlan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., March 14, 2015, at Suffolk Presbyterian Church, 410 N. Broad St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
