Suffolk police have identified a suspect in an armed robbery last week and are seeking the public’s help locating him.

Galatians Edmonds Jr., 29, who has a last known address in the 2900 block of Ambler Avenue in Portsmouth, is wanted in connection with the crime that took place at the College Drive Walmart about 1 a.m. Jan. 29. Employees told police the suspect requested to look at a game system, then grabbed the system and attempted to leave the store. He allegedly said he had a gun.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
