The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating after a 58-year-old man was injured on the job Thursday morning.
Suffolk police and rescue workers responded to the call, which came in at 7:31 a.m., regarding an accident at Amadas Industries in the 300 block of Kenyon Road.
The man was working under a large piece of farm equipment when a portion of it fell on him, according to a city press release.
Co-workers lifted the equipment off the man, and Fire and Rescue personnel extricated him and took him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by ground ambulance. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
