Suffolk police are investigating a shooting that sent a Suffolk man to the hospital Wednesday.

The 26-year-old male victim arrived at Sentara Obici Hospital at 6:45 p.m. for treatment of a gunshot wound to the foot, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink. A friend had driven the man to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, and no more information was available Thursday, Klink said.
