There were 10 boats with 17 anglers fishing on Sunday in the Suffolk Singles Doubles Tournament, which took place this time at Lake Cohoon. It was “Super Sunday,” being the final Sunday of the month, meaning the fee per boat grew from $35 to $50 with 100 percent payout.
Tim Langdon and Cal Gilliam of Newport News took first, catching five bass that weighed in at 15.08 pounds. Parish Malone of Chesapeake and Phil Schuyler of Portsmouth took second place, with their five bass weighing in at 11.98 pounds.
Zane Pendry of Hampton finished in third and also won the prize for biggest catch. His five bass weighed in at 11.90 pounds, and his big fish was a 5.69-pounder.
