On Jan. 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 ditched into the Hudson River with all passengers and crew surviving the ordeal. Dave Sanderson, one of the “Miracle on the Hudson” survivors, will share this harrowing experience in a free presentation at Lake Prince Woods retirement community at 2 p.m. Nov. 7.
Sanderson was the last passenger off the back of the plane that day, and he was largely responsible for the well-being and safety of others, risking his own life in frigid water to help other passengers off the plane.
In his presentation, Sanderson will share the story of Flight 1549, revealing the inner strength it took to make it through the day, and how teamwork, leadership and management can help overcome any obstacle.
