A Suffolk man has been arrested in a Thursday morning accident that involved a Franklin school bus.

Travis Devone Copeland, 30, is charged in the crash that took place on East Washington Street as the bus transported students to the SECEP program at John F. Kennedy Middle School.

According to a city news release, the vehicle he was driving was allegedly stolen. He is charged with grand larceny, hit and run personal injury, reckless driving and driving while suspended. He is being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
