Rachael Regina Lawrence, 45, of 402 Nevada St., Suffolk, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2014, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of Deloris Hunter and the late Edward Kelly. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Willie Lee Hardy Jr.

She attended Suffolk High School. She was a former employee of Smithfield Packing Company. Rachael was a member of Gates of Heaven Church of God In Christ.

Besides her mother, Deloris Hunter, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert Lawrence; three daughters, Shavon Lawrence, Sharae Lawrence and Kayla Lawrence, all of Suffolk; stepdaughter, Teshawna Johnson, of Suffolk; one son, Kory Lawrence, of Suffolk; two grandchildren; Shakiyah Gay and Brandon Campbell Jr.; three sisters, Sharon Davis (Vincent), of Suffolk, Deann Hardy, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Olivia Ray (Eric), of Suffolk; two brothers, Willie Hardy (Amy), of Suffolk, and Bobby Hardy (Rashaida), of Chesapeake; a devoted friend, Johnny Knight; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Gates of Heaven COGIC officiated by Pastor Sylvester Silver. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Crocker Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
