Columbia Gas of Virginia customers will see a slight increase in their monthly bills after an increase in the cost of natural gas.

The average seasonal monthly bill will increase from $41.43 to $42.38, according to a press release from the company. The comparison is based on a monthly usage of 23 Ccf. A Ccf is the measurement used for natural gas usage and is the equivalent of 100 cubic feet.

The rate change reflects an update to the costs Columbia Gas will incur in purchasing gas for its customers over the upcoming three month period.
