A Portsmouth man was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.

Stuart Walker, 25, of Portsmouth, was driving a Toyota 4Runner southbound on Nansemond Parkway about 2:40 a.m. when it left the roadway and flipped multiple times in the 4500 block of the road. He was ejected from the vehicle, but it is believed his injuries are not life-threatening, according to a city news release.

The accident is under investigation.
