Fraud suspect sought

Suffolk police are seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in a credit card fraud incident.

On July 10, the victim reported their vehicle had been broken into in the North Suffolk area. The victim’s credit card was one of several items taken.

The next day, the card was used by an unknown suspect at a Wendy’s restaurant in the 1100 block of Independence Boulevard in Virginia Beach.

Video surveillance from the restaurant captured images of the man using the card to pay for his food.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
