Pearl H. Godwin and Curtis Smith exchanged wedding vows on July 18, 2014, in a double-ring ceremony held in Suffolk.

Attended by family and friends, the ceremony was officiated by the Rev. J.J. Ferguson.

The following day, the groom’s mother’s birthday, a small reception was hosted by the bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Tommy Armstrong.

The bride is the daughter of the late elder and Sister Luella Harrell. The groom is the son of Deacon William H. Smith and the late Deaconess Hester C. Smith.

The couple plan to renew their vows on their first anniversary.
