Found in pool, boy revived by mother

A Suffolk mother revived her 5-year-old son using CPR instructions provided by police dispatchers after he was found unresponsive in a pool Monday afternoon.
The 5-year-old was found in the pool in the 2600 block of Longstreet Lane about 2:40 p.m., according to a city news release. The boy was breathing on his own when rescue units arrived.
The child was transported via Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The incident is under investigation, according to the release.
