Vandals hit Hillpoint again

Suffolk police and school district officials are investigating after vandals attacked Hillpoint Elementary School again over the weekend.
According to city spokesman Tim Kelley, a police officer checking the school mid-morning Sunday discovered a windowpane shattered at the rear of the building.
A custodian at the school said the window was intact on Thursday, when the school was secured for the weekend, Kelley stated.
“The officer investigated the scene,” Kelley stated. “School officials were notified to review the building to determine if anything was taken.”
The previous weekend, the city earlier reported, an unknown person or people broke a window to gain entry into the school on Hillpoint Boulevard.
During that incident, several computers and a printer were overturned, desk drawers were rummaged through in the office, and an additional window was broken in the cafeteria, where the intruders left the freezer open and caused food to spoil.
