Firefighters extinguished a fire in a vacant home in the 2100 block of Oregon Avenue on Thursday morning.

Emergency Communications received the call at 7:22 a.m., and police and fire units were on scene six minutes later. They found moderate smoke showing from the single-story brick building in the Hollywood community and quickly extinguished the fire, according to a city news release.

There were no injuries. The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
