A Suffolk man was arrested in Newport News on Monday after two boys, ages 8 and 10, reported they had been touched inappropriately.

Michael Bailey, 19, of the 3300 block of Star Creek Court in Suffolk, was charged with aggravated sexual battery.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Hilltop Drive at 7:05 p.m., according to the Newport News Police Department. They met with the parents of the two boys, as well as the boys and two other witnesses.

“Both victims told the officers that the suspect had inappropriately touched them and one victim stated the suspect told him he would buy him ice cream if he could inappropriately touch him again,” according to the news release from Newport News police.

The suspect was still in the area when officers arrived and was taken into custody.
