Two employees at California Cartage were sent to the hospital after an industrial accident Friday afternoon.

It happened about 2:25 p.m., when two container vehicles collided in the fenced compound of the business in the 300 block of Kenyon Road, city spokeswoman Diana Kink said.

One employee was taken by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Klink said. A second employee was ground transported to Sentara Obici Hospital, also with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration also responded to the scene.
