‘The NSA has overstepped’

To the editor:
Like many Americans, I am shocked by reports detailing the immense scope and depth of NSA surveillance. Although I appreciate the intelligence community’s efforts to keep us safe, I believe that they have gone too far and have violated our right to privacy.
I’m relieved that Congressman Randy Forbes understands this and is joining with his fellow representatives to end the NSA’s unrestrained bulk collection of telephone records.
The NSA has overstepped its bounds, and I hope Congressman Forbes is successful in his efforts to fight this government overreach.
