Cavaliers cut through Hurricanes

The Lakeland High School baseball team shut out host Heritage High School 12-0 on Monday as conference play continues.

The Cavaliers produced 15 hits and no errors.

Junior Blake Harris improved his record on the mound to 2-2, giving up only two hits and throwing 10 strikeouts in seven innings.

Senior Tyler Lilley went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs batted in, senior Jefferson Knight went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBIs, senior Ryan Stalnaker went 2-for-5 with two triples and two RBIs and senior Tyler McCaw had a double and three RBIs.

Lakeland (4-10, 2-4) visited Phoebus High School on Tuesday evening and visits Denbigh High School on Thursday.
