Mud to fly for Relay

The mud will be flying — and money will be raised for Relay For Life — when Starr Motors hosts its seventh annual Off-Road Day fundraiser on Saturday.
“It’s just a nice event,” said Joe Bonney of Starr Motors. “It’s just to raise awareness. It hits a little closer to home every year.”
From 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., folks can bring their trucks and run through the off-road course at Starr Motors’ facility, 2584 Pruden Blvd. A truck and Jeep show also will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with judging at noon.
The cost is $15 for the show, $25 for the trail or $30 for both.
“Normally, we raise at least $5,000,” Bonney said.
The show and trail are free for spectators. In addition, a prize raffle for more than $10,000 worth of donated prizes will begin at 3 p.m., and you must be present to win. Food and T-shirts will be available throughout the day.
The course will be closed from 12:30 to 1 p.m. for lunch. All makes are welcome in the show. Credit cards are accepted for the trail and show fees.
