Percy L. Hill, 68, of 110 Shepherd St., Suffolk, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at his residence. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late James Hill and Bernice B. Hill.

He was a former carrier of the Suffolk News-Herald. He was a member of St. Paul R.Z.U.A. and Temple of Deliverance.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Claudia Hill, of Suffolk; five daughters, Tunesia Hill, of Suitland, Md., Tequita Hill, of Suffolk, Johnetta Sparrow, of Wallington, N.J., Shernita Copper, of Bloomville, N.J., Cassandra Sparrow, of Irvington, N.J.; four sons, Lennie D. Hill, of Washington, D.C., Percy Lee Hill Jr. (Sharyn), of Clinton, Md., Eric Crocker (Marcia), of Suffolk, Rory Sparrow, of Mount Clair, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four spiritual grandchildren; five brothers, Milton Hill, Willie Lee Hill, James Robert Hill (Laura), Melvin Hill, all of Suffolk, John Henry Hill (Valerie), of Hampton, Va.; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, May 14, 2011, at St. Paul R.Z.U.A. Church. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
