Nansemond-Suffolk halts Crusaders

Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School’s baseball team could not keep up with visiting Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on Monday as the Saints won 11-2, bouncing back from a loss on Friday.
NSA senior Will Breedlove went 3-for-4 at the plate with three runs batted in on Monday, and so did senior Jake Grady, who additionally hit a home run.
Senior Greg Beale picked up his fifth win on the mound, while sophomore Hunter Foster pitched in relief and struck out six.
Friday, the Saints fell 7-2 against visiting Christchurch School, and junior Cam Sutton sustained the loss as pitcher.
The day before that, NSA won 7-2 against host Peninsula Catholic High School. Senior pitcher Jeremy Cobb improved to 2-0 on the season, allowing only two hits and throwing eight strikeouts. Foster pitched two innings and allowed no hits or runs.
Grady went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs, while junior Toby Buchanan hit a triple with an RBI.
Nansemond-Suffolk (8-4, 3-1) hosts Cape Henry Collegiate School on Thursday.
