Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will offer a variety of camp opportunities for girls in grades one through 12 from mid-June through the end of August.

All girls, whether or not they are currently registered members of Girl Scouts, can attend summer camp with Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast.

Girl Scout camp offers an all-girl environment where girls build friendships, develop self-confidence and learn new skills.

Studies show that girls value girl-only “safe spaces,” because they have less fear of failure when trying new things and less pressure to look or act a certain way, according to Girl Scout leaders. Girls are more likely to take chances, ask questions and talk about important issues affecting them.

Weekly camp sessions are designed with the interests of girls in mind and focus on areas including science, technology, engineering and math; environmental awareness; leadership, healthy living; and high adventure. At Girl Scout camp, girls also participate in traditional camp activities, including canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts and archery.

Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast offers resident camps in Williamsburg and Franklin and day camps in Williamsburg, Norfolk and Chesapeake. Resident camps start at $325 per week, and day camps start at $125 per week. Financial assistance is available.
