Lakeland senior JaQuan Demiel swept the two hurdle races on his home track at the Suffolk Invitational Saturday.

Demiel, the defending state champion in the 300-meter hurdles and state runner-up in the 110, won those two events for Lakeland’s only two individual firsts in the meet. Demiel won the 110 hurdles in 14.47 seconds and the 300 in 39.14.

King’s Fork’s boys 4×400-meter relay team of Joseph Hill, Deion Dickens, Tyler Holloway and Lawan Brown won over 12 other relay squads, winning in a time of 3:20.88.
