Man wanted for larcenies

Suffolk police are seeking help identifying a suspect wanted in a rash of larcenies from vehicles in the city’s downtown area.
The incidents have occurred from the 100 block to the 1400 block of North Main Street. They began in the second week of February and have continued through this week, with a total of about 20 incidents, a city spokesman said.
The incidents have taken place between 2 p.m. and midnight and appear to target vehicles parked in shopping center and restaurant parking lots, sometimes with a victim’s personal items left in plain view inside.
The subject is described as black male in his 30s, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with slight facial hair.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or text the keyword SPDVATIP and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
