Suffolk’s newest frozen yogurt store, Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday. Owner Isaura Ramirez cuts the ribbon with Mayor Linda T. Johnson. Ramirez’ husband, Armando Velasquez, holding the couple’s daughter, Alana Velasquez, gives the new store the thumbs-up. Also participating in the ceremony are Suffolk councilmen Roger Fawcett and Lou Ward, seen on the far left and far right, respectively, as well as Ebony Batson and Veronica Sanchez. The new business at 6216 College Drive offers a “constantly changing selection of frozen fruit yogurt and toppings,” according to a news release. One-quarter of Wednesday’s takings were donated to For Kids, a nonprofit helping homeless children and families in Hampton Roads.
